I am enjoying all this learning I am doing in this class. This week I loved listening/reading to Elder Tanner's talk from General Conference in April 1975 title Success Is Gauged by Self-Mastery. I have 2 teenage boys, as a mom this is excellent counsel. The following is just a small quote from the talk it is one of the best talks for my family and me at this time. " There are two important elements in self-mastery. The first is to determine your course or set the sails, so to speak, of moral standards; the other is the willpower, or the wind in the sails carrying one forward. As I said before, character is determined by the extent to which we can master ourselves toward good ends. It is difficult to say just what builds good character, but we know it when we see it. It always commands our admiration, and the absence of it our pity. But it is largely a matter of willpower."

This is all new to me, blogging and entrepreneurship, it's very overwhelming at the moment. I have always had a dream of owning my own business but never new in what. Sometimes when I drive by empty lots or office space availability, I think to myself "this is a great space for a gas station" or "Rosario, an amazing cook, should open a restaurant here" In some of the areas that I have thought that a gas station would be a great idea, years later one was build there. Why do you think Randy Pausch was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams? I think that he was able to achieve many of his childhood dreams because he made good financial choices, and because he was determined. Do you feel that dreaming is important? Why or why not? I think that dreaming is important because it creates hope. Discuss at least one of your childhood dreams. Explain why you believe you can or cannot achieve this dream. One of my childhood dreams was for my children to grow up with a father because I did not. I have achieved that dream, I married an amazing man who loves and respects his children and me, he is very hard working and has great faith in the Lord. So far I have leaned with this course is that life is worth living. Randy Pausch's video really impacted me, I learned from him to live life to the fullest until I die, no matter what age I am right now I can accomplish great thing.
